Only practice without any outside (coach input) will produce the correct result "Feel"
Coaches have been trained to teach technique rather than feel, just listen to a coaches voice on the tennis court,
you will hear: racket back, watch the ball, split step, etc.
but what you should be concentrating on is "how did that feel?"
Only when you can practice without any other input than your own, will you develop feel.
You may have someone on hand to help, with comments such as: try waiting until just before the bounce before you take the racket back. or really focus on the ball just before the bounce or brush up on the back of ball more.
Now we are looking developing "Feel" rather than technique.
These are just my thoughts, that have served me well and I share them with you.
