Another Pro's Pro string :-)
Cyclone Power is an ultra-smooth, highly elastic soft and round co-poly.
Made in Germany, it is formed with a blend of soft resins that have extremely low friction to maximize spin.
The ultra-smooth surface allows the elastic string to cradle the ball and snap back in a flash during the shot, resulting in explosive power, directional control and extra comfort. (well that's what they say, can't wait to try it out)
String arrived yeah!
Strung one of my Powerangle rackets at 53Ibs / 24kilos on a constant pull electronic stringing machine (as always)
First impression: no kinking, does stretch a bit more than my normal string, easy to string so happy.
The dynamic tension was 33 DT which equates to 49Ibs .
(Dynamic Tension (DT) is what you feel when playing, also has been called string bed stiffness.
So I will let the racket rest and retest the DT tomorrow to work out the tension loss in the first 24 hrs.
I left the racket for 48 hrs and retested the DT and it's now 31DT which equates to 46Ibs which is a 6% drop in the first 48 hrs, This is within the normal tension drop for this type of string.
Haven't played with the racket / string yet as it's is raining :-(

Played 4 sets of men's doubles today, first impression of the string:
More power than expected, it is very comfortable, it produced spin but a bit less than I am used to but not bad for a smooth poly, slice drop shots worked really well, volleys were good, serves went were I wanted them to.
So a really nice good string.
Another good string from Pro's' Pro :-)
In the photo the string looks gold but it's silver !
