OK this is going to be a long blog, I have worn away both left and right big toe ball joints.
I saw one of the Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon's T M Clough at Wrightington Hospital this week, after xray and an examination we both agreed that both big toe joints will need to be fused.
So I will keep this blog open until I have completed the course of surgery and rehab.
Each toe joint will take 4 Months to complete.......
My next appointment is a pre-operative assessment, the journey starts!

Went for my pre-operation assessment today I'm fine:-)
Had a long chat with the nurse, I have decided to postpone my first operation and see if I can "manage" with the toes as they are! It's the idea that I may not be able to handle two sessions of 4 months away from sport/walking etc
Plus the fact that there is no guarantee that I will be able to play tennis again.
If you know of anyone who has had both big toes fused ask them to get in touch!
