I cannot play doubles (mixed or men's) with partners who don't move to the net, or who don't move when at the net (cover the wide or down the middle shot)
Double's is a game of movement and position, you cannot be a "statue" player, you have move to cover the angles the opposition can play, movement to and at the net is crucial!
The question you have to answer is: who is controlling you or the ball,
What I mean by this is, are you pushing (attacking) the ball or is the ball pushing (attacking) you?
If you are attacking the ball then you are in control, if however the ball is causing you to be reactive (defensive) then you are defending, only attackers win!
This is what I have observed this week, please comment / add to this.
I have also learnt that I expect my doubles partners to have the same expectations that I do, I compete with the same determination that I had when playing (and training ) from 40 years of squash competition play, perhaps my goals are too high!
If this is wrong then I apologize.
