I have, I know I don't have the fastest serve but now I will be able to see what speed I am serving.
When it arrives I will let you know what my fastest (in court) serve is and I will review the speed gun.
Right it's here, First impression very well made, It takes 5 x AA batteries and is easy to set up (switch one select mph or kph, select still ( For: Tennis serve or Cricket bowler )
and there you go !
Well the fastest speed was 86 mph (not me!) my fastest was 72 mph !
This was with old coaching balls which where wet (honest!)
Will try tomorrow with new dry tennis balls!
It should be fun!
Chippenham Tennis Leader Board 2014:
Serve speed so far!
Simon Parry 97mph
Oliver Ralton 93mph
John Shipp 83 mph
Dave Giles (Spin) (82 mph)
Rules: all serves have to be according to the rules (no foot faults, serve has to land in the service box etc)
and to think Serena Williams can beat all of us!
(Think you can do better ! come to the club night and try!)
Review: The speed gun is very easy to set up, it does require 5 x AA batteries.
Generates a lot of interest and would be good for an club competition (Fastest men's / ladies/ Juniors/ Veterans etc)
