So, it has been a while since you had your racquet strung and you are standing on the court about to receive and you ask yourself; “I wonder when I should get my racquet strung”. Now is probably not the best time to think of it but if you do simply take a look at the short video for a quick answer;

Had a Babolat Aeropro Cortex in for a restring today something was off with the racket but I couldn't put my finger on what was wrong.
Started to look at the racket and the serial number started with a "KY******" alarms bells so did the easy trick of opening the butt cap "boom" four nails instead of the normal staples, looked at the balance head heavy, grommets black instead of grey. Broke the news to the owner (hate doing this) he purchased off the internet a while ago and paid full price. So why are these fake rackets bad: here is part of an article from the Tennis Industry Association (TIA) Counterfeit racquets can be dangerous for consumers to use, say manufacturers, who spend millions in research and development to find ways to dampen vibration that can affect the arm and body when the racquet strikes the ball. “These knockoff racquets just aren’t going to work the same way as the real frames,” notes Eric Babolat of Babolat. “The inferior product and construction can cause harm to a player, and can definitely affect his or her enjoyment of the game. Also, the fake racquet won’t have the durability that legitimate manufacturers build into their products.” Also the sellers of these rackets are ripping you off and smiling whilst doing it. Advise: only buy from an authorised dealer, if the online deal looks too good to be true it is! daveg I have been wanting to test this string for a long tine in My Powerangle Centric racket., but everytime I tried string with it the string snapped. Well I purchased some more and resrtung my Powerangle and yeah it didn't snap. String with it is easy but with a constant pull machine let the string settle on each pull. Didn't kink or have any other issues. I used my normal tension of 53Ibs which is my reference tension for this racket. Played a men's doubles game and was impressed, You have to use a full swing to get the most out of the string but when you do the racket comes alive! Serves popped and my kick serve jumped higher than usual, drives and slices with a full swing (don't hold back) very very good. Control is good, spin is good, power is good had no issues with the comfort so all good ! I will use it till it breaks and let you know how I got on. On reflection, would I recommend this string? no, why because it snapped 2 out of 3, so it failed 66% It is a good string but really no I cannot recommend it as it's failure rate did not overcome it's good points. This is my honest review that this string is great but fails on the installation, it just breaks for no reason? I really wanted this string to be good but it failed , so sorry. Today I went to buy a new monitor for my brothers laptop, we went to Curry's (why not)
when we asked if they give "Forces discount" the answer was no, you did before I said ? The sales guy was very uncomfortable when he said "sorry the company no longer gives discount to UK forces " So I now call on all service personnel not to purchase from Curry's. If this company cannot support us then why should we buy from them..... daveg I have just signed up to a service that switches you to the best energy supplier every year and it's a free service!
They switch you at the end of your contract so there is no switching fee! If you are interested click here Hope this helps! Update: I have just been switched to my new energy provider, the daily energy charge is half my old supplier and the energy per unit is less! So yes I would recommend the service :-) daveg Pro's Pro Eruption: incredible power and acceleration of this new PREMIUM co-polyester string. • 6-sided (hexagonal) profile • Extremely high spin • Excellent control • Outstanding tension consistency • Lively feel • Very durable • Thanks to special components very good comfort • Color: neon-green • Made in Germany Ordered today will update when it arrives. String arrived and yes it is a bright as the image, I had to get a magnifying glass to check the 6-sided profile and yes it is six sided but not a sharp as I expected. The string didn't kink at all so that's good. Feels softer that a normal co-poly so that might be good for the comfort. Anyway as always I had strung my Powerangle Centric at 53Ibs and the Dynamic Tension is 33DT which is the same as my go to string (Devil Spin) so all good ! Will test leave the racket for 24Hrs and retest the Dynamic Tension to see what the initial tension loss is. Tested the racket for the racket has lost 1 Ibs tension so it is now 52 Ibs. I am more than happy with that a really low tension drop for the first 24 Hrs. Now if it would stop raining I will be able to test it! Played 3 sets of singles indoors today, the string is powerful, has a very good spin profile, the control is good and it does have a good feel.What I did notice was more kick off my topspin forehand and more kick on my serve. Is it as good as my go to string (Devil Spin) yes I think it is! So I will keep this string and carry on playing with it till it goes out of tension. daveg Big thank you to Jack from W&D strings for sorting out an issue I had with one of my Pro's Pro automatic base clamps.
One phone call and Jack sent a replacement which was delivered the next day. Great service cheers Jack. W&D Strings I am proud to have your link on my website! Many have asked to be on my links page but only the best get on it! daveg TENNIS: Pro's Pro Cyber Spin
Unique string • In a special procedure 5 monofilament strands of high-tech-co-polyester are twisted and reciprocally linked • The result is a textured surface for unparalled spin and grip • This innovative string combines polyester's durability & nylon's excellent resilience as well as crisp touch • Extreme durability (yes) • No loss of tension (Loss of 1 DT after playing first day) • No slipping (string does not move) • Unique spin (Yes it produces spin ) • Arm-friendly and excellent shock absorption (no issues after 3:30 hrs singles play) • Ultimate ball control (seems to have good ball control) • Colour: white Strung one of my Powerangle Centrics today and then went to play singles indoors! (first time this winter) String tension was 53Ibs and a Dynamic Tension of DT 33 which is what I like. String can kink when stringing so be very careful, As the string is rough be careful when feeding the crosses so as not to notch the mains. It feels a little stiff when you start stringing but not a rough as Devil Spin. So played 4 sets of singles: More power but not as much as I expected, Feel and control is good. Feels a little on the harsh side (firmish)but after 3:30 hours no arm issues :-) Can be very accurate on serve placement (I was hitting the lines well !) Backhand slices just flue long sometimes but that could have be me not timing the ball well. The balls were bouncing high so lots of topspin required to keep the ball in play which the string did produce. The Dynamic tension after play was DT32 so a drop of 1 DT which equates to 3 Ibs tension drop. The biggest point in it's favour is price for price it beats other co-polys ! Ok played 4 hours indoors this string is good but I prefer Pro's Pro Devil Spin the only reason is because as I have said before it feels more positive. So yes it is a good string but Devil Spin is still my "go to" string. TENNIS: Pro's Pro Cyber Spin
